About XYL - 萧昱伦

加拿大MC，音乐制作人——XYL（中文名：萧昱伦）是一名拥有着自己独特风格，将西方嘻哈乐和亚洲流行舞曲结合在一起的艺人。他的秘诀在于：点燃舞池，营造出一个真实，有着多种文化因素的派对氛围。其灵感来源于中国、韩国，乃至日本的新潮电子流行乐。XYL正创造着一个世界性的全新音乐，在他的乐曲中，东西方的音乐元素被和谐地融合在了一起。

通过与来自中国，中国香港，以及加拿大艺人的合作，XYL于2008年发行了他的首张EP唱片《孤注一掷》。主打曲目《孤注一掷》（Against all Odds ）很好地诠释出XYL将中国流行乐与嘻哈乐融合于一起的希冀。而强有力的电子合成乐、贯穿于嘻哈鼓点上的弦乐，以及中文女声歌唱，把歌曲《龍》（The Dragon）打造为一首活力焕发的舞曲。其余的曲目也同样极富感染力，包括《Make Way》和《Prolly Drunk》，它们堪称说唱流行乐中的经典，使你闻之歌舞。

XYL于2006年开始了自己的音乐职业生涯。此后，为了继续提高、完善他的技艺以及实现他长久的心愿，即感染那些曾经对他产生过深刻影响的文化和人们，他于2008年5月来到了北京。而在此之前，XYL已在温哥华拥有了一批强大的追随者。来到中国后，他又取得了一系列的成就：旅游卫视上两期关于他生活以及音乐的特色节目；与中国嘻哈网站HipHop.CN的访谈；在CCTV-音乐频道的《全国优秀流行歌曲创作大赛》中的现场电视演出。XYL还与加拿大知名嘻哈艺人Moka Only和Josh Martinez 联袂演出。除此之外，他还作为欧洲服饰品牌 Strellson的模特、乐队大使以及演员环游了中国的一些城市。

在他的职业生涯中有超过100场的现场演出。之后，XYL在中国、加拿大以及韩国进行了大规模的环游演出。一个不断扩大的在线歌迷群支持着他一路走来，而XYL此刻正在寻求成立一个新的团队，他们将打入中国流行音乐的市场，并最终进入公众的视线。XYL说：“这个团队代表着中国流行乐与西方嘻哈风格的最佳融合，与此同时又在其中夹带了一些摇滚元素，它将给人带来一种激昂向上，动力十足的全新感受。”
